Razorback (1984) Revisited – Horror Movie Review

The latest episode of the series ventures off to another country. For the first time, Best Foreign Horror Movies is covering a film from Australia – and the movie is question is director Russell Mulcahy’s 1984 “nature run amok” killer boar movie Razorback (watch it HERE)! Scripted by Everett De Roche and based on a novel by Peter Brennan, Razorback has the following synopsis:

Somewhere in the Australian outback there’s a creature that can rip a man in half. And destroy a house in seconds. Razorback – a giant freak of Nature, nine hundred pounds of tusk and muscle which terrorizes an isolated community as violent and primitive as itself. Animal Rights campaigner Beth Winters incites the hatred of these roughnecks when she tries to expose their mass slaughter of kangaroos for pet food. She vanishes. Her distraught husband travels to discover the truth behind her disappearance and the evil elements turn on him. But the menace is double-edged: without warning the Razorback appears…

The film stars Gregory Harrison, Arkie Whiteley, Bill Kerr, Chris Haywood, David Argue, and Judy Morris.
