Regé-Jean Page joins the cast of Noah Hawley’s heist thriller at Netflix

Regé-Jean Page to star in Noah Hawley's heist film for Netflix

Ever since he dazzled audiences as Simon Basset in the Netflix drama Bridgerton, Regé-Jean Page has become a hot ticket in Hollywood. In addition to landing a role in The Gray Man for Joe and Anthony Russo and starring in the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons adaptation, Page is joining a new heist thriller for Netflix.

The untitled project hails from writer-director Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion). Hawley will produce via his 26 Keys alongside AGBO’s Joe and Anthony Russo and Mike Larocca. In addition to his starring role, Page will executive produce with Angela Russo-Otstot. Plot details are unknown at this time.

“AGBO was originally founded to allow us to collaborate with artists we greatly respect and admire. We are very happy to continue to fulfill that pledge by supporting this new film from Noah Hawley and Regé-Jean Page,” said AGBO’s Larocca in a statement.

In addition to The Gray Man and Dungeons & Dragons, Page will also lead The Saint reboot. Kwame Kwei-Armah will pen the script based on the 1920s book series that follows Simon Templar, also known as The Saint. Often described as a Robin Hood-like criminal and thief for hire, Simon can often be found traveling the globe and on the lookout for adventure. Plot details on the new project are confidential at this time, though sources indicate that the team is working around the clock to reimagine the character.

Slated for release in 2023, Dungeons & Dragons also stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Hugh Grant, Chloe Coleman, Daisy Head, Jason Wong, and Alexis Rodney. Plot details are being kept in a Bag of Holding at the moment, though one can surely expect the film to revolve around some grand quest for enchanted treasure alongside the slaying of dragons, wraiths, and drunken townsfolk whose only purpose is to offer vital information before kicking the bucket.
