Repairman movie

There’s at least 10 novels out there chronicling the adventures of Repairman Jack. So why the hell has it taken so long to make a movie about him? The wait ends today with the boys over at Bloody Disgusting getting word that Beacon Pictures are moving forward on a REPAIRMAN JACK adaptation.

JACK comes from the novels of F. Paul Wilson about a charismatic NYC repairman who’s thrust into battle with evil forces, all to protect the life of an innocent girl. BD reports that the adaptation will be a contemporary piece along the lines of INDIANA JONES. Well Indy is certainly charismatic. Is it me or does this seem like Indy meets Jack Brooks? Now I haven’t read any of the novels but that’s the impression I’m getting.

I’m definitely down for a REPAIRMAN JACK movie. Even though I’ve never read any of the installments I’ve still heard the good word on the JACK novels through the grapevine. Chris Morgan rewrote the original script by Craig Spector, Scott Nimerfo and Trevor Sands. That’s all we’ve got so far so keep it here for any more updates.
