Resident Evil movie synopsis teases reboot’s story

So while we've known for a while that the upcoming Resident Evil reboot – fully titled Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City – would be set in the '90s and merge the first two games into one story, we haven't gotten an official synopsis…until now. Check it out below:

Once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, the townspeople are forever…changed…and a small group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.

Kennedy, Neal McDonough (Yellowstone) as William Birkin, and Donal Logue (Silent Night) as Chief Irons – will shamble to theaters November 24th!
