If your a fan of the Playstation 3 game RESISTANCE then you should be excited for this next bit of news. It seems DC Direct are bringing us a whole series of RESISTANCE figures! Now I’ve actually never played RESISTANCE. I’m more of an X-Box 360/GEARS OF WAR kind of guy… but to each his own! Apparently RESISTANCE has to be pretty good considering all the praise it’s gotten.
So to celebrate RESISTANCE 2 DC Direct have decided to reveal Series 1 of RESISTANCE figures! The series includes: Chimera Advanced Hybrid – Ravager – Nathan Hale w/Swarmer – Steelhead. The Chimera, Nathan Hale, and Steelhead all stand at 6” while the Ravager gains an inch at 7”, the Swarmer will be 2”. Each figure has several points of articulation and comes with a base and 4 color clamshell packaging. Here’s the description Corner Store Comics gives:
Rise. Stand. Resist. After a valiant struggle to stop the Chimera invasion in Europe, mankind must make its last stand on the shores of the United States. In the highly-anticipated follow-up to the best-selling PlayStation 3 game, Resistance 2 places players in the heroic role of Sgt. As I’m watching the gorgeous Teri Hatcher talk to Conan O’Brien about CORALINE, I stumbled upon an update on some nifty CORALINE figures. Now truth be told .. I’ve really got no interest in these, but they’re definitely collectibles so it’s my duty to pass along the word to all of you!
We all remember THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, no doubt about that. Mr. Henry Selick is at it again with CORALINE. And even though they were really designed for children, we all remember how awesome those NIGHTMARE figures were… so dare I say CORALINE may be along the same lines? From the designs it looks like it!
So far the CORALINE products announced and available for purchase include: 3 sets of 3-Pack PVC 3” figures and three 7” bendable figures. Each 3-Pack includes a figure of Coraline with her cat. You can get a glimpse of two of the sets above and below. Along with that, NECA are also putting out 3 different 7” bendable figures of Coraline. One figure will have Coraline decked out in Pajamas (BUY IT HERE!), another has Coraline in her normal outfit of a striped sweater and jeans (BUY IT HERE!), and lastly we have a figure of Coraline in a raincoat (BUY IT HERE!). NECA promises more CORALINE merchandise soon, so if it strikes my fancy to report, you’ll see it here! CORALINE hits theaters February 6th.

You know that whole shebang with the WATCHMEN and Fox? Well I don’t. While the WATCHMEN flick intrigues me, it’s not enough to keep me following the mess. Now I did go out and read the graphic novel and I’ll definitely see the movie, but I’m not here today to talk about the WATCHMEN movie persay… I’m here to talk about WATCHMEN merchandise!
There’s various WATCHMEN figures and busts on the way, but I’m pointing out a few… unorthodox WATCHMEN memorbilia. NECA dropped word on a whole line of WATCHMEN merch they’re planning on releasing. Some of that merchandise includes a ‘Doomsday Clock’ (above), various WATCHMEN wall scrolls, wallets, lunchboxes, hell even coasters! (below). Head right over here to check out the whole line of products. I definitely dig the WATCHMEN logo and that clock is pretty awesome. I can imagine the ‘WTFs’ you’d get with that clock hanging on your wall.
