Feel good: Robert Englund visits Freddy fan coping with rare disease

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Recently we passed along word that A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET star Robert Englund wants Kevin Bacon to take over the role of Freddy Krueger if the opportunity arises. Cool shite. And today we have an inspiring bit of fun where Englund visited an 18-year-old coping with his rare disease after being referred for a wish.

The update comes to us from Make-A-Wish over on Twitter, who writes:

18-year-old Henry watched A Nightmare on Elm Street while coping with his rare disease. After being referred for a wish, Henry knew he wanted to meet his favorite horror icon Robert Englund, who famously portrayed Freddy Krueger!

You can check out a picture of the recent visit below. After looking that over and sharing it with all your friends, make sure to hit us up and let us know how much YOU love Robert Englund below!

For those of you that somehow might not know by this point in your life, in Wes Craven's classic slasher film:

Several Midwestern teenagers fall prey to Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund), a disfigured midnight mangler who preys on the teenagers in their dreams — which, in turn, kills them in reality. After investigating the phenomenon, Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) begins to suspect that a dark secret kept by her and her friends' parents may be the key to unraveling the mystery, but can Nancy and her boyfriend Glen (Johnny Depp) solve the puzzle before it's too late?

Wes Craven wrote and directed A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET while Robert Shaye produced. Along with Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger, the flick featured John Saxon, Ronee Blakley, Heather Langenkamp, Amanda Wyss, Nick Corri, and Johnny Depp. New Line Cinema unleashed the dream demon into theaters near your parents back on November 9, 1984. If you don't already own the film on Blu-ray (yeah, right) you can snag it HERE.
