Rose Byrne is evidently close to giving outer space another go after her last trip, SUNSHINE, didn’t go so well. THR reports Byrne is being courted to join THE SOMETHING, which is being produced by the same team who successfully cast her in NEIGHBORS.

Not much is known about THE SOMETHING, other than it was penned by former “Late Show with David Letterman” head writer Rodney Rothman, who has described it as a “space horror-comedy.” Apparently the movie focuses on a team of astronauts lost in space and has a tone similar to ZOMBIELAND. If cast, Byrne would be the first actor to board the project.

Seth Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures, Good Universe and Universal are making THE SOMETHING, which doesn’t have a director yet. More on THE SOMETHING as it comes in…
