JoBloJoBlo

While SALT was no great shakes (…), Phillip Noyce has nonetheless delivered in the directorial department before with such films as THE QUIET AMERICAN and RABBIT-PROOF FENCE, as well as the Jack Ryan films CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER and PATRIOT GAMES. But how will the filmmaker fare with a time travel film?

According to Deadline, the Australian-born director will tackle just that in a film entitled TIMELESS from a spec script by ENCHANTED writer Bill Kelly (PREMONITION, BLAST FROM THE PAST). Here’s a breakdown of the story:

“A recently wed man loses his wife and discovers after the fact she has left him a fortune. Haunted by an unresolved issue between himself and his wife, the man invests the money to build a time travel device, just to see her one last time.”

Also on Noyce’s plate are two projects he’s been linked to: DIRT MUSIC based on the Tim Winton book which has had fellow Aussie Russell Crowe attached for some time, and spy thriller WENCESLAS SQUARE.
