New Scream movie poster promotes 4DX screenings

Last week, we saw a poster for the new Scream movie that was referred to as “the final poster”… but since then we have also seen a Dolby Cinema poster and now another poster has arrived online to promote 4DX screenings of the movie. So that final poster was a final poster in the same way The Final Chapter was the last Friday the 13th movie. The 4DX poster can be seen below.

4DX “allows films to be augmented with various practical effects, including motion seats, wind, strobe lights, simulated snow, and scents.” The new Scream reaches theatres, including 4DX screens, on January 14, 2022.

This Scream “legacy-quel” is coming to us from Ready or Not (watch it HERE) directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The screenplay was written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. Vanderbilt also produced the film for Project X Entertainment, alongside Paul Neinstein and William Sherak. Chad Villella, Gary Barber, Peter Oillataguerre, Ron Lynch, Cathy Konrad, and Marianne Maddalena serve as executive producers alongside original Scream writer Kevin Williamson.

The film has the following synopsis:

Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past.
