Set sail with the new Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides trailer

JoBloJoBlo

I was hoping that this new trilogy of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN films that Disney is planning would effectively reboot the franchise after two stale sequels left a bad taste in my mouth. But after watching this new trailer for ON STRANGER TIDES, it doesn’t look like anything different; instead just more of the same.

Sure we don’t have Keira Knightley or Orlando Bloom anymore but is that really enough to try and make this movie seem fresh? That and mermaids? It’s all well and good but it almost seems like they’re following some PIRATES storytelling guidebook instead of really branching out with new ideas. Of course, no one has seen the movie yet nor can vouch for its quality but from where I’m sitting, I can’t say that I’m all too optimistic. Take a look at the new trailer below and decide for yourself.
