Shioli Kutsuna joins the cast of Deadpool 2 in a key role

The success of DEADPOOL still amazes me. It's not that I didn't want the film to succeed, it's just that I didn't anticipate it working so incredibly well or that audiences would eat it up as much as they did. I've never more pleased to have been so wrong. DEADPOOL 2 obviously won't have the same element of surprise which the first film did, which places an awful lot of pressure on the whole DEADPOOL creative team to knock it out of the park. Production on the upcoming sequel is slated to get underway soon, but there are still a few roles to be cast.

Deadline reports that Shioli Kutsuna has joined the cast of DEADPOOL 2, but if you're looking for any specifics on who the young actress will be playing, you're out of luck. The studio wasn't offering up any details, other than to say that Shioli Kutsuna would be playing a "key role." The DEADPOOL sequel will see the return of Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, and Brianna Hilderbrand, as well as welcome Zazie Beetz, Jack Kesy, and Josh Brolin to the DEADPOOL family.

Any ideas who Shioli Kutsuna might be playing?

Speaking of Josh Brolin, the actor has been working his ass off as he gets into shape to play the role of Cable, who, in the comics, is from the future and is the adult son of Scott Summers, also known as Cyclops. Brolin posted the following video and photo on his Instagram which show off his guns as well as his new Cable haircut.

DEADPOOL 2 is set for a June 1, 2018 release.
