Silent Hours trailer: serial killer thriller gets October release! Exclusive!

Writer/director Mark Greenstreet’s psychological sexual thriller Silent Hours is set to receive a theatrical and VOD release on October 8th, and ahead of that release date we’re proud to share the EXCLUSIVE first look at the film’s trailer. Check it out in the embed above!

Silent Hours stars James Weber Brown (Doom: Annihilation), Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey) and Indira Varma (Game of Thrones). Here’s the synopsis:

When three women are brutally murdered in four nights, private detective John Duval, ex-lieutenant commander in Naval Intelligence, finds himself the prime suspect in a police hunt for the sexual killer stalking Portsmouth’s silent hours.

Dervla Kirwan (White Dragon), Susie Amy (Footballers’ Wives), Tom Beard (Salmon Fishing in the Yemen), Annie Cooper (The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret), and Elizabeth Healey (As I Am) are also in the cast.

Greenstreet told an interviewer at the Raindance festival that he was inspired to write Silent Hours because

I wanted to write a whodunit. I wanted it to be an intense psychological thriller that really did play on the mind and the mind of the audiences. I grew up loving the films of Bogart and Bacall, those sort of noir thrillers, and the genre of the private detective I didn’t think had been covered in a while, not the way I wanted to do it.”

He noted that Silent Hours is a five act drama, inspired by the works of Shakespeare and other classic playwrights, so it doesn’t have a three act structure like the average film. He also said it’s one of those films where you see everything in a different light when you watch it for a second time.
