Sin City rights talk

JoBloJoBlo

Jessica Alba, SIN CITY A couple of weeks ago, we told you about The Weinstein Co. debunking an apparent rumor that they had lost the rights to the upcoming SIN CITY sequel. The IESB landed the scoop but TWC lawyer Bert Fields quickly put the kibosh on it through an official statement. Now “The Hollywood Reporter” is saying that, even though TWC are sticking by their “we ain’t lost shit!” statement, the rights are indeed currently being shopped around. They’re unsure of Robert Rodriguez’ involvement but it’s likely he’s still attached as producer, at least. What exactly happened that resulted in TWC losing the film’s rights or the producers exploring other options to get the film made? Well, just a hunch, but it may have something to do with The Weinstein’s being evil, movie-hating gargoyles.
