Six awesome character shots from The Wolverine show style and badassery

Now, that's more like it (insert Thor voice)!

That's the first thought that popped into my head when I saw these images from THE WOLVERINE, which are the best-looking print/web marketing pieces they've put out thus far. The posters have been a little lackluster, but these are definitely a step in the right direction. Featuring some cool, stylistic shots of the various characters from the film including Logan/Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Silver Samurai/Kenuichio Harada (Will Hun Lee), Viper (Svetlana Khodchenkova), Mariko (Tao Okamoto), and Yukio (Rila Fukushima), the images evoke more of a comic book vibe than we've seen so far for the pic.

SNIKT!:

With the movie coming in just a few weeks it's seemed to kind of stall on the buzz, but is finally picking up some steam and getting back on the radar. I think a lot of folks have been put off by the overly large Silver Samurai that we've seen in trailers (and ninjas on motorcycles), but I'm still holding out hope for a good show. If nothing else we have Jackman back in the claws, which makes X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE as tolerable as it is. I think director James Mangold will be able to deliver something strong regardless, so my expectations are for something enjoyable at the very least.

THE WOLVERINE slices its way into theaters on July 26, 2013.
