Skill House: 50 Cent, TikTok star Hannah Stocking join social media satire horror film

A few months ago, we heard that TikTok celebrity Bryce Hall has signed on to star in the TikTok-inspired horror film Skill House, which is set to be directed by genre regular Josh Stolberg. Stolberg is best known for co-writing such films as Sorority Row, Piranha 3D, Jigsaw, and Spiral. Now we know the names of several of Hall’s co-stars. Deadline reported that Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (Power Book II: Ghost) had joined the cast and would be producing the film through his company G-Unit Film & Television. They also reported that Leah Pipes (Sorority Row), McCarrie McCausland (Army Wives), Ivan Leung (The Tender Bar), Neal McDonough (Yellowstone), John DeLuca (Spree), Caitlin Carmichael (Midnight in the Switchgrass), Dani Oliveros (Roar), Emily Mei (The Download), and Jacob Skidmore (Trinkets) are in the cast as well. The Wrap adds that TikTok star Hannah Stocking and MMA star Paige VanZant have also signed on.

Scripted by Stolberg, Skill House is

a dark satire of social media and influencer culture, exploring how far people will go for online fame.

The movie is being filmed at Sway House, a Bel Air mansion made famous by TikTok creators.

In addition to being produced by G-Unit, Skill House is being produced by Alex Baskin, Lifeboat Productions’ Amy Kim and Jaime Burke, and Ryan Kavanaugh’s Proxima Studios. This will be the first project to be listed on Kavanaugh’s Entertainment Stock Exchange site. The ESX is “designed to allow users to invest in film projects and trade in and out of a film’s potential upside.”

Kavanaugh had this to say when 50 Cent came on board:

This film is bursting with mavericks of entertainment, many of them spanning multiple genres and platforms. From a global rap and hip-hop music icon to a businessman, actor, writer, and producer – if anyone knows a thing or two about breaking the boundaries, it’s 50 Cent. I’m honored to work alongside him as we watch Bryce do the same with his career.”

Stolberg provided the following statement about Hannah Stocking joining the cast:

Just as this film is the first of a new genre of horror, social media personalities like Bryce and Hannah are a new genre of celebrity. We are breaking creative boundaries and career boundaries here. Hannah has dynamic talent and encompasses everything this project is about – internet fame and the evolution in the entertainment industry. We are thrilled to have her joining our cast.”
