All too frequently, our first look at blockbusters are presented with the toys, and the upcoming Snake Eyes film is no exception, but this time, the toys haven't been leaked or spotted on the shelf, but officially presented by Entertainment Weekly. As the release of Snake Eyes was pushed forward by several months earlier today, you might think that they'd be able to release some actual images from the film at this point, but toys are just as good apparently.

Check out the images below for your first look at Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Scarlett, Baroness, and Akiko in toy form.

Well, they look more or less like you'd expect, but I guess the biggest surprise is seeing the face of Snake Eyes, which (and correct me if I'm wrong) isn't something G.I. Joe fans are typically accustomed to seeing. "For us to never really see what is beneath the mask, it always missed something," Snake Eyes actor Henry Golding has said. "Snake Eyes was always seen as a weapon, as almost an inanimate object. But when you get to see someone's eyes, you get to see their past, you get to see their future, you get their personality behind that. And so, we throw it back right to the beginning and see how he progresses and how he develops into this most amazing character."

Snake Eyes will follow the titular character as he seeks revenge for the death of his father by joining a ninja clan and finding acceptance in the process. The film also stars Andrew Koji (Warrior) as Storm Shadow, a fellow ninja is is both blood brother and archenemy to Snake Eyes, Iko Uwais (The Raid) as Hard Master, a tough as nails teacher who instructs Snake Eyes and also happens to be a skilled swordmaster, Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) as Scarlett, the red-haired counter-intelligence officer who has a unique bond with Snake Eyes, and Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist) as the evil agent known as the Baroness. The film was slated to hit theaters on October 22, 2021, but was recently moved up to July 23, 2021.
