Thanks to social media, the world is more connected than ever before. If we choose to, we can dive into the ramblings of just about anyone on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or the other countless social media platforms. Amazon's upcoming new series The Feed, which is based on the novel by Nick Clark Windo, takes that concept and cranks it up to 11 by imagining a future where high-tech implants connect the minds of everyone to The Feed. Every single interaction, emotion, and memory can instantly be shared, which honestly sounds a little terrifying. The series follows Tom (Guy Burnet) and Kate (Nina Toussaint-White), a young couple who are trying their best to avoid tech, but Tom's father (David Thewlis) just so happens to be the one who invented the whole system. When violent and dangerous glitches begin affecting everyone who uses The Feed, Tom and Kate must do all they can to control the monster their family has unleashed. In the near future, a high-tech implant connects our minds to “The Feed.” Every interaction, emotion, and memory can be shared instantly. Tom (Guy Burnet) and Kate (Nina Toussaint-White) are a young couple trying to resist their addiction to tech. Tom’s father, Lawrence (David Thewlis) invented “The Feed,” and his mother Meredith (Michelle Fairley) is the CEO overseeing its daily operation. When strange and violent things begin to happen to its users, Tom must do all he can to protect his wife, Kate (Nina Toussaint-White) and baby daughter from his father’s twisted creation. The Feed tells a very human story about survival, family, and the lengths that you would go to protect the ones you love.
The Feed will launch on Amazon Prime Video on November 22, 2019.
