Sonic the Hedgehog Yule Log Livestream zooms in the celebrate the holidays

Christmas is coming up fast, and now there’s a Sonic the Hedgehog Yule Log Livestream to help you celebrate the holiday with style. Clocking in at an hour’s length, the Sonic the Hedgehog Yule Log Livestream features the Blue Blur as he preps for Santa’s arrival at super speed. As the video plays on, Sonic occasionally races into the room and adds decorations to a festive setting. While all of this is happening, a crackling fire pops at the center of the room, providing some great ASMR for all of you pyromaniacs out there. You know who you are. Never would I have imagined that Sonic the Hedgehog would present something that’s so low-stress. He’s typically an agent of chaos, and I shudder to think of how fast he’d unwrap all his presents.

Of course, the Sonic the Hedgehog Yule Log Livestream is another way for Paramount to promote Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which is set to race into theaters on April 8, 2022. Directed by Jeff Fowler (Sonic the Hedgehog, Gopher Broke) and based on a screenplay written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington, the sequel introduces two fan-favorite characters to the big screen with Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey) and Knuckles (Idris Elba). Reprising their roles for the next film in the fast-franchise are Jim Carrey (Dr. Ivo Robotnik), James Marsden (Tom), Tika Sumpter (Maddie), Lee Majdoub (Agent Stone), and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Per Paramount, here is the official synopsis for Sonic the Hedgehog 2:

The world’s favorite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search of an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands. From the filmmakers behind The Fast and the Furious and Deadpool, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Jim Carrey returning, alongside new additions Shemar Moore, with Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles, and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as the voice of Tails.
