Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The first trailer has arrived for Space Jam: A New Legacy and LeBron James and the Looney Tunes are ready to hit the court for a brand new game full of hijinks.

Space Jam: A New Legacy is a sequel to 1996's Space Jam which featured basketball great Michael Jordan dunking with some of our favorite Looney Tunes characters. In the sequel, another basketball great takes center stage as LeBron James plays a fictionalized version of himself who becomes trapped with his son (Cedric Joe) in a virtual world created by a rogue A.I. (Don Cheadle). James has to team up with the Looney Tunes in order to defeat a suped-up roster of professional basketball players which promises some fun cameos from real-life players in the league. The film also stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Jeff Bergman, and Eric Bauza.

The 1996 film was directed by Joe Pytka and in addition to Jordan, starred Wayne Knight, Theresa Randle, Bill Murray. Vocal work was provided by Billy West, Dee Bradley Baker, and Danny DeVito, to name a few, and the film became a huge box office success, grossing $90.4 million at the domestic box office and $230.4 million globally on an $80 million budget.
