The powers that behind the scenes at Blumhouse are gearing up for not only the release of THE PURGE Season 2 but also the fifth (and final?) movie in the series, THE PURGE 5. And today we learned that THE PURGE 5 producer and Blumhouse head honcho Jason Blum recently meet with Sylvester Stallone along with franchise writer-director James DeMonaco, and longtime THE PURGE producer Sébastien K. Lemercier.
Blum tweeted:
Me and these two jokers are about to meet #slystallone #jamesdemonaco was so paranoid about being late that we got here 20 minutes early and have nothing to do but tweet.
He then added an hour or so later:
The meeting went great with #sly He did punch me because we were late.
Does this 100% mean that THE PURGE 5 producers met with Stallone about THE PURGE 5? Meh. That's not confirmed. But it sure as hell looks like it. So does this mean Stallone may write, direct, or star in THE PURGE 5? Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Everardo Gout has already been confirmed as director and DeMonaco will provide the script. So will Stallone star in the movie? Shrugs. We will keep up to date on just what the hell the meeting was about and pass along word as soon as we hear it.
