Batman is bad-ass again.

It wasn't always like that though. However, after Christopher Nolan restored value in the Caped Crusader after we all suffered the lows of BATMAN & ROBIN, everyone wants a piece of the Dark Knight.

And that includes Telltale Games who, for the first time ever, will be dipping their toes into the DC Universe for a 5-episode video game arc titled BATMAN – The Telltale Series. Much excitement has been shared about the potential for such a series, particularly given how successful Telltale's THE WALKING DEAD episodic game has been, among other titles. Put that model for storytelling together and Batman, and it's easy to see why players would be filled with enthusiasm.

And with the world premiere trailer for the game being unveiled today (the game itself will debut with a live audience this weekend at Comic-Con), it would appears fans' faith was well-placed. Watch and you'll see for yourself.

The first episode – Episode 1: Realm of Shadows – will be available for digitally as of August 2 via the Telltale Online Store, Steam and other digital distribution means for PC and Mac, on the PlayStation Network for PS4 and PS3, on the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One and Xbox 360, on the App Store for iOS and Google Play and the Amazon Appstore for Android-based devices.

You can also opt to pick up the game at retailers starting September 13 as a special Season Pass Disc that will allow you to download future episodes as they become available.
