According to the Hollywood Reporter, directors Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn are preparing to make a documentary about the Prince of Darkness himself: Satan. The two just got a Grammy nomination for their film “Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage” – and if that doesn’t prepare them for dealing with the Devil, I don’t know what does.

The Canadian documentary aims to explore the historical origins and transformation of Satan as a symbol of evil, and his significance in contemporary art and popular culture.

Keeping with the neighbors up north theme, Canadian distributor Alliance Films has picked up the theatrical rights to the doc, which is titled – of course – SATAN. Nor word is Beelzebub is participating, or if this is strictly unauthorized stuff…

Now this is a devil I can live with!
