There’s a new full-length theatrical trailer for THE LAST AIRBENDER that just made its debut on Yahoo! and as much as it pains me to say it, I think it actually looks pretty damn decent.
I don’t need to go into a long-winded explanation about why I’ve lost faith in M. Night Shyamalan; anyone whose seen his past three movies knows the answer to that, but I am starting to feel like a genre change will do the man well, and I’m curious to see how he handles a blockbuster.
In the new trailer, we get to see a lot more elemental fighting, which looks like a Captain Planet episode on crack. As cool as all this is, I do have to say that star Noah Ringer and villain Dev Patel are two of the least intimidating leads I’ve ever seen, but hopefully the script and special effects will make us forget all about that.
