The Flash is also set to star Maribel Verdú, best known for Y Tu Mama Tambien and Pan's Labyrinth, as Barry Allen's mother, who is said to be quite important to the plot of the film, which will reportedly find Flash traveling back in time to prevent her murder, a move that will have drastic consequences when he returns to his timeline. The film will also star Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, and Michael Keaton as…Bruce Wayne/Batman, although the latter actor did recently cast doubt on his return.
Andy Muschietti is slated to direct The Flash based on a screenplay by Christina Hodson, and production is finally slated to kick off this spring for a November 4, 2022 release.
