Not only is Joel Edgerton a very talented actor, he is also quite a filmmaker. In his latest – the thriller THE GIFT – he explores a very creepy tale of when your past comes back to haunt you. The film stars Jason Bateman, who is terrific in a dramatic role, as well as the lovely Rebecca Hall with Edgerton taking on a very aggressive old high school chum to Bateman.
Besides having an original take on the thriller genre, the studio behind it offered up a very unique junket experience. For our interview with the cast, we were shuttled to the home where they shot the film to have "dinner" with Edgerton, Bateman and Hall. We talked about the characters and just how deeply flawed they are. Joel also discussed writing this thriller and some of the inspiration behind it.
