After playing James Bond in five movies over the course of fifteen years, Daniel Craig’s tenure as the secret agent came to an end with No Time to Die. The search is on for the next actor to tackle the iconic role, and one of Hollywood’s favourite pastimes is guessing who that will be. Plenty of actors have had their names brought up as the next James Bond, including Regé-Jean Page.

Regé-Jean Page can currently be seen starring alongside Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Ana de Armas in The Gray Man. While speaking with Radio Times, The Gray Man directors Joe and Anthony Russo were asked to comment on rumours that Regé-Jean Page was up for the role of James Bond. “He’s fantastic,” Joe said. “I mean, he has more charisma in his pinky than most people do in their entire body. So you know, we’d watch him do anything – I mean we’d watch him read the phonebook!” Anthony agreed, adding, “[He’s a] very savvy performer and [has] so much charm.

According to the betting site Ladbrokes, Henry Cavill leads the pack of James Bond hopefuls with 3/1 odds, with Regé-Jean Page following with 7/2 odds and Tom Hardy with 6/1 odds. Franchise producer Barbara Broccoli recently said that it will be “at least two years” before a new James Bond movie starts production. She did tease that the new movie will be a “reinvention of Bond” but that figuring that out takes some time.

Regé-Jean Page plays Denny Carmichael in The Gray Man, a suave CIA official who employs former agent turned private contractor Lloyd Hansen (Evans) to bring down agent Sierra Six (Gosling), who is in possession of explosive secrets. The film is now streaming on Netflix, and you can check out a review from our own Chris Bumbray right here. Page will also be seen in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves alongside Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, and Hugh Grant. The film will be released in theaters on March 3, 2023.

Could you see Regé-Jean Page as the next James Bond?
