The identity of Ed Skrein’s character in Deadpool has been revealed!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Little by little the identity of each character appearing in DEADPOOL has been discovered, all except for the character Ed Skrein is portraying. Now, thanks to Ed Skrein himself, we finally have a name to put to the face; the actor shared this image on Twitter today:

In the comics the character of Ajax was involved with the Weapon X program where he later received treatments which gave him increased strength and speed as well as the ability to feel no pain. Ajax was no fan of Deadpool's and in fact played a large part in making Deadpool the slightly unhinged assassin that he would later become.

Ed Skrein was previously spotted on the DEADPOOL set in Vancouver in a series of photos in which had him looking very much like an ordinary human-being. Perhaps his armored look has been overhauled to something more manageable or maybe this sequence takes place before his various augmentations.

So lets just round up the various characters we have so far. We've got Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, T. J. Miller as Weasel, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and now finally, Ed Skrein as Ajax. I'm excited.

DEADPOOL is still shooting in Vancouver but will open on February 12, 2016.
