Darcy the Mail Girl said there would be five Joe Bob Briggs specials on the Shudder streaming service between the end of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs season 3 and the start of season 4. We have seen four specials so far: Joe Bob’s Halloween Hoedown, The Last Drive-In: The Walking Dead, Joe Bob Ruins Christmas, and Joe Bob’s Heartbreak Trailer Park. It’s not clear when the fifth special is going to arrive, but if it’s still going to premiere before season 4 it’s going to have to be soon. Shudder has just announced that The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs season 4 will premiere on Friday, April 29th!

Here’s the information:

The Last Drive-in with Joe Bob Briggs Season 4 – Premieres Friday, April 29, New Episodes Every Friday (Shudder Original Series)

The hit series returns with Briggs, the world’s foremost drive-in movie critic, presenting eclectic horror movie double features, interrupting the films to expound upon their merits, histories, and significance to genre cinema. The season premiere will feature a celebration of The Last Drive-In’s 100th movie since Joe Bob’s first Shudder marathon in 2018, with surprise special guests. Shudder and Briggs first teamed up in July 2018, for the 24-hour marathon intended to be Briggs’ final farewell to televised movie hosting. Due to overwhelming popular demand, Shudder brought The Last Drive-In back as a weekly series and for multiple holiday specials.

Joe Bob took to social media to say that the special guests who will be appearing in the season premiere are even a surprise to him.

Joe Bob is joined on every episode by Darcy the Mail Girl (who does know who those surprise guests are). The show is produced by Matt Manjourides and Justin Martell, and directed by Austin Jennings.

It’s always good to know we have more Joe Bob Briggs awesomeness to look forward to.
