The latest trailer for Machete Kills gives you the 3D experience

Here’s something new: 3D trailers!

While I don’t see it becoming a trend (crosses fingers), it certainly fits a film like MACHETE KILLS. See, this is for me is the type of film that is acceptable for 3D. It only adds to something that is already silly. But then you have a film like GRAVITY where 3D adds depth to the suspense. As I said before, it’s not a completely useless technique just overly used.

Sure the trailer is gimmicky but it’s kind of cool. Here you get to see what kind of a man Machete is, and you also learn that he smells like fish tacos. Take whatever you want out of that statement. Aside from all the good looking ladies in this movie, my biggest takeaways are Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen. I like that the only direction that Sheen was probably given was to act like normal except to refer to himself as the President.

Synopsis: The U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.

MACHETE KILLS hits theaters on October 11, 2013.
