The Lodge clips follow Riley Keough through the dark

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

THE LODGE, the new film from Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz, the directors of the deeply disturbing GOODNIGHT MOMMY, is now in theatres – but you'll only see it in your local listings if you're in New York or Los Angeles, because that's where the six theatres showing the film are located. The plan is for the theatrical release to expand in stages over a period of weeks.

While waiting to see just how wide THE LODGE's release will get, a couple clips from the film have arrived online to offer a tease of what it has in store for viewers.

Described as a "bone-chilling nightmare", THE LODGE follows

a family who retreat to their remote winter cabin over the holidays. When the father (Richard Armitage) is forced to abruptly depart for work, he leaves his children, Aidan (Jaeden Martell) and Mia (Lia McHugh) in the care of his new girlfriend, Grace (Riley Keough). Isolated and alone, a blizzard traps them inside the lodge as terrifying events summon specters from Graces dark past.

Fiala and Franz wrote the screenplay with Sergio Casci. The film was produced by Aliza James, Simon Oakes, and Aaron Ryder, with Paul Barbeau co-producing and Ben Browning and Marc Schipper serving as executive producers.

Give the clips below and the trailer above a look and see if THE LODGE interests you. Our own Chris Bumbray gave it a 9/10 review.
