Remember back when Jessica Alba said FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER made her want to quit acting? She said, “Am I not good enough? Are my instincts and my emotions not good enough? Do people hate them so much that they don’t want me to be a person? Am I not allowed to be a person in my work?”
I sympathized with her a little bit at the time (RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER made me want to quit watching movies so…) but then I saw this trailer for SPY KIDS 4 and, well, maybe quitting acting would’ve been the right move.
I realize that SPY KIDS 4 is a kids movie and the “throwing a bag of puke at a bad guy’s face” should not be indicative of Jessica Alba’s career trajectory but it’s hard to not draw a connection. And frankly Joel McHale and Ricky Gervais, two supremely funny guys, deserve a lot better than this. Jeremy Piven, on the other hand, deserves exactly this. Check out the new trailer below.
