The NSFW teaser for Gaspar Noe’s Love shows everything but the money shots

A couple of months ago, we saw a pretty NSFW poster for Gaspar Noe‘s LOVE. The 3D film debuted at Cannes this year with many critics saying it was not much more than an artsy porn film. Being the respectable publication we are, we of course are tracking the film as it readies itself for release. So, it is our duty to share the first teaser trailer for LOVE.

It goes without saying that even though there is nothing coming out of anyone’s sexual organ in this trailer, there is nudity and a lot of sexual acts. In fact, there really isn’t much you don’t see in the teaser that you wouldn’t see on your personal favorite porn site.

Here’s the “plot” for LOVE.

A sexual melodrama about a boy and a girl and another girl. It’s a love story, which celebrates sex in a joyous way.

There is a thin line between film and porn that has been straddled by countless filmmakers over the years. Movies from CALIGULA to NYMPHOMANIAC have been looked at as pornographic but as the years go by, people’s opinions soften. Whether LOVE falls into that category remains to be seen. All I know is that Universal could have taken some notes when making FIFTY SHADES OF GREY on how to show sex on screen from Mr. Noe.

LOVE opens in French theaters on Jul 15th. No domestic release date has been announced.
