The Prometheus WonderCon trailer is a little slice of awesome

JoBloJoBlo

With the torrent of trailers and tv spots already released for PROMETHEUS, many of you may be feeling much like you do after a damn fine meal; satiated and full.  However, I hope you left room for dessert, because the PROMETHEUS trailer from WonderCon is a beautifully cut slice of pie.

What really stands out for this trailer is the editing, which is cut to the music and sound effects with precision.  If there’s one thing I love about trailers it’s when they are well-cut and this is a fine example.  Additionally, there are quite a few snippets of new footage, including a longer look at the space jockey and some sort of…something…slithering into someone’s arm. Wicked.

Take a gander:

I could think of worse ways to spend a minute and thirteen seconds.  Thus far, this is my favorite trailer for the film, although that doesn’t mean the rest of the marketing is coming up short.  Far from it.  Anticipation is building like boiling water on a stove for Ridley Scott’s return to sci-fi and it further cements the prospects of a kick ass summer of movies.

PROMETHEUS lands on June 8, 2012.
