GHOSTBUSTERS animated series THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS writer J. Michael Straczynski (who wrote 21 episodes for the series and worked as a story editor during Seasons 1 & 2) took to Twitter recently to ask GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE director Jason Reitman about a potential revival.
He tweets:
Hey, Jason Reitman saw the video of you and Ivan at the Hasbro relaunch of Real Ghostbusters toys…wouldn't this be a great time to bring back TRGBs? New animation? Live-action? Puppets? Hand shadows? Semaphore? Hello? Is anyone there? Is this thing on?

The series featured voice work by talents such as Lorenzo Music, Dave Coulier, Maurice LaMarche, Frank Welker, Buster Jones, Laura Summer, and Arsenio Hall. It also went by the title SLIMER! AND THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS.
