The Social Media Massacre rides blends making friends and killing them

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

It was only a matter of time before we had this mashup. With the advancement of technology comes creative next-generation films that aren’t really creative. In other words Facebook + serial killer = THE SOCIAL MEDIA MASSACRE. Hmm…I wonder…

In the wake of the huge success THE SOCIAL NETWORK left, films such as UNDOCUMENTED and now THE SOCIAL MEDIA MASSACRE are taking advantage of that limelight. By utilizing the way society has incorporated social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, filmmaker Ron Purtee creates a unique (but expected) situation revolving a lonely web designer with serial killer tendencies.

While the film might smell a little bit indie (which we need more of) it’s a sure sign that there is creative talent out there who can make a little nothing into something. Check out the synopsis and artwork down below!

From writer and director Ron Purtee comes The Social Media Massacre. The story of Sam, a mid-western web designer who has an issue with being alone. Through a series of vlogs, we find out that Sam has a unique way of dealing with that.

The Social Media Massacre was written and directed by Ron Purtee. Starring Charlie Bussian and Sasha Corrigall. Produced by Tom Jensen, Ron Purtee and Charlie Bussian.

Not really related but close enough. Rooney Mara from THE SOCIAL NETWORK.
