Frank Miller’s THE SPIRIT is shaping up to be the place to be if your a movie hottie. I mean think about it, it already has Scarlett Johansson… hell I’m sold already! Add onto that Eva Mendes and Sarah Paulson and my head is spinning. Plus… it’s sprinkled with some Samuel L Jackson playing a badass bad guy. Well folks, I’ve got a reason for you to like this movie even more courtesy of IESB.net, the newest cast member is Jamie King (SIN CITY) (below).

Seems like King is a Frank Miller fan huh? All these hotties on one screen? It’s going to be something great, I’ll tell you that. In case you haven’t heard, THE SPIRIT is originally a 1940’s newspaper strip that became a comic book. Frank Miller has been put in charge of writing and directing the film adaptation. So if you liked SIN CITY, your probably really stoked about this one.

According to IESB.net, the film is about a man who fakes his own death and fights crime from the shadows of Central City. The Octopus — who kills anyone unfortunate enough to see his face — has a different mission: he’s going to wipe out the entire city. And apparently this dude is one hell of a ladies man, which is great for star Gabriel Macht, who will have all these hotties on his heels. Miller had this to say of the character in an Entertainment Weekly interview:

“The character has a terrifying side to him. This is a man who’s died and come back to life. So it twists into fantasy. And of course there are tons of women in it. There have to be — it’s The Spirit. They’re all in love with him, and he’s in love with all of them. You might say he’s a bit of a slut.”

THE SPIRIT is slated for a January 16, 2009 release, so plenty of time to make this one even better.
