Welcome back to The UnPopular Opinion! The UnPopular Opinion features different takes on films that either I hated, but that the majority of film fans loved or vice versa. We have always hoped this column will promote constructive and geek fueled discussion. Now, with us entering the visual world, you can get pissed off in a whole new medium. Each episode is written and narrated by yours truly and masterfully edited by Matthew Hacunda.
The Wachowskis have directed a very limited number of movies. Some are brilliant (THE MATRIX, CLOUD ATLAS) while others are…not (THE MATRIX RELOADED and REVOLUTIONS). But, one of their movies is an absolutely brilliant and unique adaptation that deserves a level of acclaim equal to the amount of hate thrown its way. I am, of course, talking about SPEED RACER. Based on the iconic anime series, SPEED RACER is a movie unlike anything else ever made. Watch the video above to find out my reasons why.
