You guys are aware that there’s a DEATH RACE 3 in the works, right? If you are, then you must know how practically the whole team from DEATH RACE 2 are back for this one. I’m talking director Roel Reiné, scribe Tony Giglio and stars Luke Goss, Danny Trejo, Ving Rhames and Tanit Phoenix. That’s right folks – the gang is back together!
Didn’t anybody get killed off in the second flick? Jeez… seems like the whole cast is back. Anyway, this shite just started filming this month in South Africa and the first behind the scenes shot from the set has already made it’s way onto these here interwebs courtesy of Mr. Giglio. It’s not much but we do get a helicopter following a Death Race car up a winding cliffside road… I guess it is pretty exciting. Just scroll down below to check that shite out.
It seems since we last talked about this shite it’s also scored itself a subtitle! Dropping the “3,” the film will now be called DEATH RACE: INFERNO. Works for me!
Death Race: Inferno will take place in a different prison in Africa, where the iconic character Frankenstein (played by Luke Goss) has to race his fellow prisoners in all newly designed and newly build ‘Death Race Cars’.
Joining Goss, Rhames, Trejo and Phoenix (below) in DEATH RACE: INFERNO will be Dougray Scott. It’s set to drop sometime in 2012 so expect more updates on this one as the production continues.
