Well folks it’s another day and I’ve got yet another ‘someone-talks-PROMETHEUS‘ article for you guys. Much like the rest of the interviews, this new one doesn’t have much that we haven’t heard already but considering PROMETHEUS is one of the top-notch genre flicks heading our way, it’s our sworn duty to bring you any and all updates on the subject matter.
So without further ado let me tell you all about an interview MTV recently did with PROMETHEUS creature designer Neville Page. While hounding the FX master about what we might expect in PROMETHEUS, Page replied:
“My approach is nervous. I approach Ridley with great nervous energy because it is such an undertaking. [‘Alien’] was the movie that inspired everything for me, not just creature design, but filmmaking in general. It is a huge undertaking to try and take it to the next level; to make Ridley proud, to make [H.R.] Giger proud, there’s a lot involved with that.”
When asked if they’ll be using practical effects rather than CG, the GREEN LANTERN alumn replied: “[We’ll] use whatever it takes to make it look as good as it needs to look.” Considering GREEN LANTERN looks like a cartoon on steroids I severely hope that isn’t the case. Hopefully director Ridley Scott will put a stop on any outrageous CGI before things get out of hand. You can go ahead and check out the interview for yourself in video form directly below.
Alas only time will tell what we’ve got in store for us with the highly anticipated sci-fi feature. Starring in PROMETHEUS is Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron (below), Michael Fassbender, Logan Marshall-Green, Rafe Spall, Sean Harris, Katie Dickie, Idris Elba and Guy Pearce.
