Time to binge! HBO offers Watchmen for free June 19-21

Didn't get a chance to see what some critics called one of the best series of 2019? Well, you'll that chance now because HBO is offering up all nine-episodes of their critically acclaimed series, Watchmen, for free beginning June 19 through June 21.

The episodes will run exclusively on HBO.com and Free On Demand as an extension of the network's content showcasing Black experiences, voices, and storytellers. The network will also run a marathon of the series on HBO and HBO Latino beginning at 1:00 PM ET/PT on Friday, June 19. HBO said in a statement "HBO is proud to offer all nine episodes for free of this timely, poignant series that explores the legacy of systemic racism in American."

Created for HBO by Damon Lindelof and based on the 1987 DC Comics series of the same name, Watchmen received widespread critical acclaim during its nine-episode run. The series currently sits with a fresh rating of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and on Metacritic, it has a weighted average of 85 out of 100. By series had aired its sixth episode, HBO reported 7 million viewers to date which made it HBO's most-viewed new series since Big Little Lies. It addition, it contributed to the largest digital viewership for a freshman series since Westworld. The show became so popular that many want Lindelof to continue the series even though he left as showrunner, stating that he completed his intended story. HBO subsequently confirmed there are no further plans to continue the show without Lindelof returning in some capacity.

Watchmen is set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws. Lindelof has likened the television series to "remix" of the original comic series. The show is technically a sequel that takes place 34 years after the events of the comics within the same alternate reality. The show stars Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Andrew Howard, Jacob Ming-Trent, Tom Mison, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Louis Gossett Jr., Jeremy Irons, Jean Smart, and Hong Chau.

I guess this is my chance to check this show out because I was so busy during its initial run that I didn't get to watch but I heard it's a great show and many have said it's one of the best comic book shows of all-time.
