A couple weeks ago Ammon showed you all some new pics from the Spanish film LOS CRONOCRIMENES (TIMECRIMES). And a few months ago, I told you how Magnolia Pictures picked up the rights to the film.
Well it’s being reported today via The Hollywood Reporter that TIMECRIMES, yet to even be released in the US yet, has already warrented a remake. So all the 80s horror movies aren’t the only ones in danger of being remade, it seems like all the international genre films are in line to be remade as well, most on buzz alone. That’s risky.
Whatever the case, United Artists picked up the remake rights to TIMECRIMES today. TIMECRIMES is about a man who accidentally gets into a time machine and travels back in time nearly an hour. Finding himself will be the first of a series of disasters of unforeseeable consequences. Sounds like fun to me. It’s getting positive buzz wherever it goes. It’ll actually be screening at Sundance.
Steve Zaillian is set to produce the film, and according to The Hollywood Reporter he’ll also be penning an outline and overlooking the writing. We’ll keep you updated on any more TIMECRIMES news.

Beautiful Spanish actress Bárbara Goenaga
