New Lara Croft Alicia Vikander has found an ally in the form of Daniel Wu, according to Variety. The Into the Badlands actor has joined the TOMB RAIDER reboot currently being prepped by Warner Bros.

Wu, who starred in this past summer's WARCRAFT as the main villain, will play Lu Ren, a ship captain who partners with Croft on a quest to find her father.

Playing antagonist against Vikander and Wu's heroes is Walton Goggins, who signed on to be the bad guy back in December.

Roar Uthaug (COLD PREY, THE WAVE) is directing TOMB RAIDER from a script by Geneva Robertson-Dworet (SHERLOCK HOLMES 3). Shooting begins soon as the film runs toward a March 16, 2018 release.
