Trailer for The Greatest Showman starring Hugh Jackman sings its way online

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

The first trailer for THE GREATEST SHOWMAN has arrived! Starring Hugh Jackman as the legendary P.T. Barnum, the film is a musical take on the "greatest showman's" life and times. Directed by first-timer Michael Gracey, the film also stars Zac Efron, Michelle WilliamsRebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya.

Take a look!

Here's the synopsis:

Inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business and tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.

I seem to remember a longer version of this trailer from CinemaCon earlier this year, but this one is no less effective and knows what it's selling; a rousing, emotional and heartfelt musical tale…just in time for Christmas. The cast is terrific, it looks beautiful and there's a bearded lady singing. I mean, what more do you people want?? Seriously, though, this has all the makings of a seasonal crowd-pleaser and Hugh Jackman is simply a great presence in anything he does, even if it doesn't involve slicing off body parts with adamantium claws.

THE GREATEST SHOWMAN sings into theaters on December 25th, 2017.
