I'm really looking forward to writer/director Abe Forsythe's zombie comedy LITTLE MONSTERS, which our own Chris Bumbray gave a 7/10 review after catching a screening at Sundance. But while the US distribution rights are in the hands of Neon and Hulu, the companies haven't revealed when they're going to be releasing the movie.

In the meantime, Altitude Film Entertainment has announced that they'll be bringing LITTLE MONSTERS to cinemas across the UK and Ireland on November 15th.

Described as "ZOMBIELAND meets KINDERGARTEN COP" (or "SHAUN OF THE DEAD meets BILLY MADISON"), the film stars Lupita Nyong'o, Alexander England, and Josh Gad. The story centers on

directionless Dave (England), who crashes at his sister's place and spends his days expanding his young nephew's questionable vocabulary. When an opportunity arises to chaperone an upcoming school excursion alongside the charming and enigmatic teacher Miss Caroline (Nyong’o), Dave jumps at the chance to impress her. What he wasn’t anticipating was Teddy McGiggle (Gad), an obnoxious children's television personality who shapes the excursion's activities.

What he was expecting even less was a zombie invasion, which unfolds after an experiment at a nearby military base goes awry. Armed only with the resourcefulness of kindergartners, Dave, Miss Caroline and Teddy must work together to keep the monsters at bay and carve a way out with their guts intact.

With the UK and Ireland release coming up in just a few months, hopefully we'll be hearing details on the US release soon.
