And today we have word via Sang-ho that may produce a series of TRAIN TO BUSAN sequels – with one addressing how the zombie outbreak began.

"Other films", you say? Bring each and every one of them on, I say! In the meantime, PENINSULA tells the tale of

A former soldier who manages to escape from the Korean peninsula – a zombie-infested wasteland turned into a ghetto by other nations trying to stop the spread of the virus. Sent back with a crew on a mission to retrieve something, he goes in through the port of Incheon to reach Seoul and comes under attack, discovering there are more non-infected survivors left on the peninsula.

The original film sports a 93% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: "Train to Busan delivers a thrillingly unique — and purely entertaining — take on the zombie genre, with fully realized characters and plenty of social commentary to underscore the bursts of skillfully staged action." The follow-up stars Gang Dong-won, Lee Jung-hyun, Lee Ye Won, Kwon Hae-hyo, Kim Min-jae, and Koo Kyo-hwan. No release date has been confirmed but the movie could be ready for summer 2020.
