Battlestar Galactica & Lucifer’s Tricia Helfer is the latest star to make the jump to OnlyFans: ‘I’m tired of being told what to do’

Battlestar Galactica and Lucifer actress Tricia Helfer is joining the OnlyFans army! The sci-fi sensation recently launched her official OnlyFans account on the adult social platform, saying she wants to take control and connect with fans like never before.

Helfer on why she’s joining OnlyFans

“At my age, I am in my ‘do what I want’ phase of life,” Helfer told PEOPLE. “I’m tired of being told what to do and how to do it. I’m looking at it as something to have fun with and something that I can be in control of.” Helfer also says she’s looking forward to embracing the “sexier side of my brand.” Her photos will be a mix of “artistic shots with great photographers” and pictures and videos of “quiet and silly times” at home, such as her feeding her goats or watering her garden.

“I enjoy shocking a little bit,” she shared. “Would I shock my parents with the images? Probably. But they saw [me in] Playboy [in 2007], and they appreciated why I had done it. My passion is my job as an actor, and I’m using this platform as an extension of my creative, fun and flirty side.”

Helfer joins Shannon Elizabeth and Jaime Pressly on the platform

Helfer is the latest actress to join OnlyFans, following American Pie and Scary Movie actress Shannon Elizabeth and My Name Is Earl alum, Jaime Pressly. Shannon made additional headlines when she launched her OnlyFans account, earning $1.2 million in her first several days.

While some groups harbor misconceptions about OnlyFans – like saying that running an OnlyFans account isn’t a real job, it definitely is – the vast majority of account holders praise the platform for its many benefits, giving content makers control over what subscribers see and who can access their content. OnlyFans provides a handful of reliable safeguards to protect its clientele. Because access to certain functions is a “pay-to-play” model, the platform can weed out most goons and unseemly types with the click of a button. I hope Shannon, Pressly, and Helfer have an ultra-positive experience on the platform as she approaches a new era in their careers. Get that cash, ladies! Ban the haters! Have fun!
