We’ve been keeping you updated on the ‘teen flick disguised as a vampire flick’ TWILIGHT for a while now. The last we heard, Eric was showing you the first promo pics for the film.
A few weeks ago I gave you the last casting update. Well today we have a little more casting news via Variety. The names joining TWILIGHT are Anna Kendrick (right) and Christian Serratos.
A couple beautiful young females. Works for me. TWILIGHT centers on a 17-year-old girl who moves to a small town to live with her father, and is drawn to a pale mysterious classmate who comes from a family of vampires
It’s written by Melissa Rosenberg, adapting Stephanie Meyer’s novel. Catherine Hardwicke will be directing. Along with Kendrick and Serratos, the film also stars Nikki Reed (below), Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Rachelle Lefevre, Cam Gigandet, Michael Welch, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, and Ashley Greene.
Early indications point to TWILIGHT being BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER meets DAWSON’S CREEK, except with a lot more of the CREEK vibe. Let’s hope otherwise. TWILIGHT is currently filming with a late-08/early-09 release.
