The other day we showed you all some new stills for UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS. Well today we have a look at the trailer for the flick courtesy of Uruloki.org.
Now I’ve never been a fan of the UNDERWORLD films, but this trailer looks pretty damn cool… and I’m sold with new star Rhona Mitra. Hell, I was sold the second I seen her… can you blame me? Then again… nobody beats Kate Beckinsale. Nobody.
Here’s UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS’ synopsis: An origins story centered on the centuries-old feud between the the race of aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers, and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. Mitra plays Sonja, secret lover of the Lycan leader Lucian (Sheen). Sonja must help battle the Death Dealer army to win the werewolves’ freedom.
The trailer seems to be the one from Comic Con and can be seen below. So go ahead and check that out. RISE OF THE LYCANS is directed by Patrick Tatopoulos with a script from Danny McBride. It stars Mitra (below), Bill Nighy, Michael Sheen, Shane Brolly, Steven Mackintosh, and Kevin Grevioux. Set to hit theaters January 23, 2009 I’m sure we’ll be seeing more updates soon.
