Production is now underway on Breck Eisner’s THE LAST WITCH HUNTER starring Vin Diesel, Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood and Michael Caine. Reading the synopsis for the movie didn’t leave me too interested in this one, but the folks behind the project certainly grabbed my attention. We know that Eisner (THE CRAZIES, SAHARA) will be directing from a script by Cory Goodman (PRIEST); so there’s great talent at work. I’m intrigued to say the least about that cast too; I can’t wait to see that ensemble working together.
Here’s the official synopsis:
In THE LAST WITCH HUNTER, an immortal witch hunter (Diesel) partners with his natural enemy, a female witch, to stop the covens of NYC from unleashing a plague on humanity.
Diesel shared the very first photo from the film on his Facebook page with the caption, "13th century Kaulder… The Last Witch Hunter begins…".
While Diesel does his best Kraven the Hunter impression, I think we would all agree that the sooner we get to see Rose Leslie as a witch the better off we'll be.
