I know lots of people are fans of Oliver Stone’s WALL STREET but despite numerous viewings, I never got into it. It’s a powerhouse of a performance from Michael Douglas, no doubt, but the film itself never meant much to me. For fans of the original, I could see how this new teaser trailer would be a little rush. The way they reintroduce Gordon Gekko to the world is cute, I suppose, but beyond that it’s just Shia LaBeouf looking rich, Gekko needing a shave, Frank Langella raging and Carey Mulligan surfing JoBlo.com.
